Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and the choices you have. In plain language.

Last updated: August 2026.

BosniaAtlas ("we") is an independent travel and culture publication about Bosnia and Herzegovina. We try to collect as little personal data as possible.

What we collect

To understand which articles are useful, we keep simple, first-party analytics. For each visit we may record the page path, the referring site, your browser type, a timestamp, and a one-way hashed, shortened version of your IP address. We do not store your full IP, your name, or any contact details, and we do not sell data to anyone.

Cookies

The public site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. A single session cookie is used only for the private admin area when a member of our team signs in to publish.

Third parties

We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of serving those files. Some outbound links are affiliate links; see our Affiliate Disclosure. When you follow an affiliate or booking link, that third party has its own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can browse without providing any personal information. If you would like us to remove analytics records associated with your visit, contact us and we will do our best to help, though hashed records are not always identifiable.
